Virtual field trips:
Let students explore a new place with a interactive webquest and a virtual field trip! This field trip takes students to the La Brea Tar Pits as they explore Ice Age fossils in the middle of downtown Los Angeles. Google Earth makes this activity come alive! Link here to see this on Teachers Pay Teachers. This science webquest is great for grades 5-7 and works well just for fun or when studying 4ESS1-1 or MS-ESS2-2.
This webquest is 4 pages and help guide students as they learn and explore. |
I also love this Mount Vernon virtual field trip. It really makes American history come alive. I have used it with 5th grades but 8th graders would enjoy it as well. I love the videos included. Click here to explore Mount Vernon. The web quest below turns the virtual tour into a ready to go lesson.
