San Diego HazMat & Science Demos

If you are in the San Diego area, this is a great assembly to bring to your school. Mr. Leon and Mr. Mike parked their HazMat trucks on campus to teach 6th and 8th grade students about careers in environmental science while performing engaging science demos. Student participants tried on the HazMat gear that Mr. Leon and Mr. Mike wear when they go to an incident. We learned about the importance of safety and how fun and exciting science is. We had dry ice bubbles, flower petals and otter pops exposed to liquid nitrogen, fire, and air pressure demonstrations to name a few.
